Is IXL Aligned with Common Core Curriculum Standards (CCCS)?

Is IXL Aligned with Common Core Curriculum Standards (CCCS)?

Yes, IXL has been programmed and setup for the new Common Core Curriculum Standards (CCCS).  For our state, Oregon, which is moving to the new standards in 2012-13, IXL has had both the 2007 State Standards and the CCCS available in their Standards report. This report will show the teacher how well your students are doing with practice in each of the standards areas.  In order for you to see this report you will: 1. Click on Reports 2. Click…

Setting up small groups for Math with IXL

Setting up small groups for Math with IXL

IXL has a wonderful reports section that I often wonder how many teachers use to its fullest extent.  Here’s one of the first ways that I used an IXL report, and it now saves me a lot of time making small groups for students who need additional math support. The Design of a World, All Their Own.

The Design of a World, All Their Own.

Students are putting their finishing touches on their Create-a-World projects. Wednesday, the 23rd, teams will introduce and showcase their worlds to the class. Some amazing worlds have been created this year. We discovered a planet that was in such civil war, that it was eventually blown apart so that the war would finally be over between boys and girls. Now our heroes from the two sides must find a way to reverse the damage and save their planet. We were…
